The
NEWTEC USCB20 Carrot Bagger is designed
for packaging of full length carrots
in one (1), two (2), three (3), and
five (5) pound poly wicketted bags.
The USCB20 is equipped with a KwikLok
865A Extended Bag Closer to automatically
close bags as they are packaged.
Production
speeds are limited to twenty (20) packs
per minute, in a single machine configuration,
using any package size. The bagger may
also be deployed in a dual installation,
coupled with the NEWTEC 2012D or 2012XBD,
allowing for production speeds of up
to forty (40) packs per minute

Carrots
are stacked horizontally (A) in the tilt chute,
which tilts vertically prior to discharge into
the open bag (B) to ensure that all carrots settle
to the bottom for a hand-packed look.
On
filling, the bags are lowered onto a support belt
(D) which guides them to the KwikLok 865A Bag
Closer, sealing the bags for further processing.
While moving along the support belt, alignment
plates are used to further massage the bagged
product, ensuring all carrots are vertically aligned.

Filled
bags are delivered to the KwikLok 865A Extended
Bag Closer (E) and (G), for automatic bag closing.
The 865A is outfitted with an extended infeed,
allowing for excess packaging material to be
cut and removed from the package.
Figure
(H) shows the three (3) and five (5) pound tilting
chute mounted on the machine for packaging of
large bags. The tilting chute for one (1) and
two (2) pound packs is shown along side the machine
to provide a size comparison between the two (2)
tilting chutes. |
